This entry was posted in Current News on June 4, 2019.
Reata Glen is officially open. The community welcomed more than 300 new residents the week of May 28. Reata Glen is the area's newest senior living community, offering 480 residential living apartment homes with 20 unique floor plans and sweeping views of the surrounding valley.
"Reata Glen is a wonderful addition to the Rancho Mission Viejo area," said Suzanne Nasraty, executive director of Reata Glen. "It represents a significant investment in senior living, provides a positive impact, and adds another jewel to our community. It's amazing to hear and see the number of people who've stepped forward to say, 'This is what the city needed,' and Reata Glen is exactly the lifestyle all of us should want in retirement."
The senior living community will meet the needs of the growing senior population in South Orange County, as the number of Baby Boomers is expected to double within the next 20 years.
The community offers more than 200 activities per month, along with amenities that promote the vibrant and healthy lifestyle of residents, including a movie theater, performing arts theater, a state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, an indoor pool, multiple dining venues, billiards and card rooms, gardening areas, and walking and cycling trails with access to San Juan Creek Trail, leading directly to Doheny State Beach.
The community also offers care at the adjacent health center , where residents will have access to assisted living, memory care, and long-term care in a skilled nursing center, if they ever need it.
"Seniors in the area have been wanting something different, something fulfilling: a community with flexibility and lifestyle options they can't find anywhere else," noted Nasraty. "And given the changing times, we've made it a top priority to provide seniors with a sense of security - they want to know that everything they've worked hard to attain in life is protected."
Reata Glen partnered with California-based W.E. O'Neil Construction and KTGY Group Architects + Planning in building this community, which will offer an estimated 300 jobs in the Rancho Mission Viejo area.
